Enhancing the Lives of Seniors

As a nonprofit organization, giving back to the community is a cornerstone of our Mission and Values, and has been part of our work in greater Los Angeles since 1923. Today, this legacy lives on, thanks to the generosity of donors like you.

ECS proudly supports
a variety of programs.

Benevolence Fund

This Fund ensures those residents unable to afford the full cost of their care are provided for. The Benevolence Fund demonstrates commitment by ECS that no resident should leave their home based on financial hardship.

By Your Side: End-of-Life Vigil Companion Program (BYS)

BYS treats people with dignity, specifically during their end-of-life journey. Trained volunteers and professional caregivers serve as a compassionate presence for those who are at the end of life.

Employee Education Fund (EEF)

EEF benefits team members pursuing education outside the workplace by paying for college and certification courses or helping to repay college loans. By supporting these educational pursuits, this fund supports greater job fulfillment, commitment, and growth.

Music & Memory®

ECS is a certified provider of the Music & Memory program, which was created to assist those facing memory challenges. This innovative program employs the power of music to trigger emotional memories that may have long been forgotten. The music helps activate cognition, improves communication, enriches family visits, and boosts spirits for all involved.

NextGen Education Fund

Supports the children of Team Members pursuing post-secondary education by providing scholarship awards toward tuition, incidentals, and college loan repayment. Scholarships lessen the financial hardship on our Team Members, providing encouragement to the Next Generation of future nurses, doctors, chefs and leaders in our industry.

Staff Assistance Fund for Emergencies (S.A.F.E.)

S.A.F.E. provides monetary assistance to Team Members in times of immediate need when all other avenues for financial assistance have been exhausted. Contributions by Team Members have kept S.A.F.E funded through regular payroll deductions and donations of paid time off hours. No matter the crisis, we look out for each other.
